Endless Summer® Twist-n-Shout Endless Summer® Twist-n-Shout Endless Summer® Twist-n-Shout Endless Summer® Twist-n-Shout
St. Paul, Minn. (Spring 2011) – Gardeners everywhere are singing the praises of Endless Summer® Twist-n-Shout™.
Endless Summer® Twist-n-Shout™ is a brilliant reblooming lacecap hydrangea developed by Dr. Michael Dirr. This lacecap is a strong rebloomer, topped with gorgeous blooms that make a dramatic impact in the garden. Blossom color will vary depending on your soil type. Alkaline soils, (pH 6-7) will produce party-pleasing, lipstick pink blooms. More acidic soil, (pH 5-5.8) will turn fertile (smaller) blossoms an intriguing periwinkle hue, while sterile blossoms (larger) keep their rich pink color. Twist-n-Shoutʼs glossy green leaves and strong, red stems add to the drama. Fall leaf color is a stunning red-burgundy, making Twist-n-Shout a season-long star.

Blooming Success with Endless Summer Collection Hydrangeas
St. Paul, Minn. (Spring 2011) – Endless Summer The Original, Endless Summer Blushing Bride and Endless Summer Twist-n-Shout are Hydrangea macrophyllas, which have the unique characteristic of blooming on both the current seasonʼs growth as well as old growth, providing the advantage of a longer bloom period. Researchers at the University of Florida found that Endless Summer Hydrangeas flowered on average 10 to 12 weeks longer than other Hydrangea macrophyllas. The plants also have the ability to flower in cooler climates because they donʼt need last seasonʼs growth to produce new blooms. Over the last two years we have heard some reports of inconsistent flower production, especially in cooler climates. Although a number of factors may contribute to the consistency or inconsistency of blooms, there is no simple answer to this matter. Here are some steps consumers in cooler northern climates can take to help ensure beautiful blooms.
